Moosa Alikhani Abstract Painting Collection 2011

Oh My God.... It took me a while to realize Moosa has dedicated his first Abstract Painting Collection to our kids in Ethiopia. What can I say ???? Just ask you all, please go, go in my name an in the name of all the kids we've been helping for the past 4 years.

ArtPersia presents the exhibition and charity auction of the work of

MOOSA S. ALIKHANI - "THE GLORIOUS BEING"
ABSTRACT PAINTING COLLECTION 2011

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Moosa S. Alikhani is an Iranian born self-developed artist currently living and working between Toronto, New York and Dubai. He has a great interest in human sciences, literature and fine arts and developed his talent in writing and visual art, expressing it through painting and photography works.
As a gifted talent and a national top student, he has been selected and had the opportunity to continue education in the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents in Iran. He had the honor to learn from great masters in different fields that could make significant effect on his life. Masters like Alireza Eskandari who is an icon in Persian calligraphic painting art and Mohammad Ayoubi, one of the great contemporary Persian fiction writers during years.
Although he was doing painting pieces time by time in past few years, this collection of works is the first effort of its kind, developing a single concept into abstract expressions in different forms of works presented together.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The event will feature both exhibitng of the collection and auction of the pieces at the venue. There will be a silent auction proceeding for all the featured works during the night, and also limited live auction for popular pieces of the collection.
Each piece in the collection has an estimate of value and set reserved minimum bid amount by the artist which are in a range starting from $1000 to $3000. Proceedings from the sale of each auction lot in excess of the set minimum bid amount will be donated to the Mekdela Kids Ethiopia project.

Sponsored by N'Dulge Club, the venue provides an excellent setting for the event, located in prestigous five-star resort and featuring both comfortable indoor lounge seating area and outdoor balcony to enjoy the revitalizing breeze of the sea assures us to create a memorable night for all our guests.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly drink and cocktail food courtesy of world well-known japanese culinary brand, Nobu.

ABOUT MEKDELA KIDS ETHIOPIA

The auction event will support a cause initiated by former colleague and friends of the artist, Connie and Marc Richter that enabled 19 orphan and poor kids in Ethiopia to continue their education with providing daily food and basic living needs to them since 2008.
The courage of all supporting people, has inspired creation of this collection of art works to help provide financial support required to continue this project during year 2012.
This is just to remind us, a small act of love that any one of us can express, can make a bigger difference in the future life of many other human-beings. And this is what transforms our being, and brings joy and happiness to life.

What a night !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Mekdela Kids Ball in Dubai was a blast !!!! Everybody got engaged in creating this magic evening for our Mekdela kids. They do not know all these was created for them. They would be so amazed by the beauty of this event. They' ve never seen anything like that in their life. The first time some of the kids took a shower at the American School Gym before a Theater play, they almost cried of happiness... It was so much fun for them.

Farinoosh was an amazing speaker, giving a speech in the beginning of the event and leading the ruffles !!! Oh... the ruffles.... whitening session from German Dental Clinic, routine dental treatment, beauty box, photo session, and much more !!!! Wish I was there hehe

So that is how all started. Kamila and Golnoosh mentioned to Mohsen that they would like to do something to help the needed. Mohsen knew about our project in Ethiopia and told them about it. It took them such a short time to gather almost 100 people in a beautiful location. Imagine... they don't even know me. They have never seen the kids. This is what a call a big heart. Thank you girls... What you did is wonderful...

 Kamila having fun hehe

Mohsen, this is Mohsen hehe Thank you for connecting so many worlds... Thank you so much for helping :)

Moosa and Rosa were one of the first to "adopt" one of our kids, Ajaiba. Ajaiba has 4 sisters, they all live in a plastic house with their mother. They have no water, no electricty and no father/husband. Ajaiba and Zineba, her sister, are so lovely, alive, happy, and they have so little... Thank you Moosa and Rosa for your support in the past 4 years. Miss you a lot and can't wait to meet Koosha :) Thank you Moosa for painting such a beautiful piece of art so everybody could leave messages for our little ones...

This painting will be given to the kids in October in person !!!!!!!!!!! A friend from Dubai is going to Addis Ababa to meet the kids. Isn't it great ?????? !!!!!! It might mean we will see fresh pictures of them soon AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Girls at work :) Delivering several vouchers for the guests :)

Xavier, we haven't met but we heard you were extremely helpful in the event. THANK YOU. We are really grateful to all of you who were there, who helped, who took a moment of your lives to know about our kids.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I believe this is an answer to all my prayers, I prayed with so much faith asking for money to feed these kids, that these wonderful people are organizing this event in Dubai for them, and they don't even know them nor me... It is so wonderful, and I truly wish I was there to be part of this evening of love. Thank you Kamila and Golnoosh in name of all our kids, BIG THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!

Being proactive with my heart bleeding...

This is the email I ve sent Genet and Dani today:

FOR SEPTEMBER BEGINNING OF SCHOOL YEAR

2. STOP AID TO ELIAS, LIKUN AND TIRHAS (sorry but they knew it could happen if they didn t get good grades)

We have left then:
